How to Setup a Delivery Area
What is a Delivery Area?
Delivery Areas allows vendors be more specific with their delivery charges using the map. Using the map, a restaurant can draw a circle or lines to indicate the areas they service and set a price for each delivery area. There are no limits to the number of delivery areas that can be created per location.
How to add Delivery Areas
To create deliver areas, follow these steps:
- On the settings page, click on the delivery areas tab on the navigation panel
Click on the restaurant location you want to set up. Clicking the location opens up the delivery area screen.
To add a new delivery area, click on the “Add a Delivery Area” button, this would open up a page with the required information (Delivery Area Name, Delivery Fee and a map)
Fill the required fields.
- Draw a polygon on a Google map to signify the delivery area.
Draw a polygon for every area you service. Delivery areas can be grouped by price, where any area within the polygon will cost xxx. Click on the save button to save the newly created delivery area. Repeat the steps for all the delivery areas applicable to each location.
You will repeat the step for each location (for restaurants with multiple locations.
The indicated delivery fee will affect the area with the polygon.
